I’ve made it a priority to spend time with some of the brilliant City workers that form the beating heart of Vintry’s ground floor economy including Three Cranes, Khanoon Thai and Chatora City.
Three Cranes is a classic City pub with a warm welcome & great food. Did you know they have live music on Fridays? Khanoon brings vibrant, modern Thai flavours to Vintry. Chatora City blends contemporary Indian cuisine with polished hospitality. Picture a Smoked Charcoal Butter Chicken or a Black Dal and rice this evening.
I’ve spoken with these businesses as a fellow business operator based right here in the Ward directing them toward practical support like the Destination City programme and wider promotional initiatives. But we need more than one-off visits.
The Alderman should be a year-round advocate for these kinds of businesses and not just during election time. Being locally based means I see and hear what matters to Vintry every day.
